The Last Word from Broad Ripple

On Tuesday, April 18, the Butler Writers met for one final time at Broad Ripple, with the school's unfortunate closing on the horizon. In spite of looming changes, there was no shortage of spirit and cheer, with our customary end-of-the-school year smorgasbord and super-sized Open Mic.

Though we hate to see our students displaced, we are pleased that our other partner school, Shortridge, will be absorbing the Arts and Humanities magnet, which means that many of our students will be joining us at our new consolidated home from Butler Writers (which was also our first home for Butler Writers—everything coming full circle). On this positive note, we end with a few more closing images, of warm and fuzzies, of singalongs, of the legacy of Ripple Effect.
