The Drive-By

A young teen walking late at night

So dark that the streets barely in sight

The car starts across the cold road

As it turned the corner it slowed

As he hears a shot the teen drops down

Trying so hard not to have a breakdown

More gunshots follow one after another

As he fears for his life he thinks about his mother

How would she feel if he were to die

He pictured her sadness and started to cry

Gun violence needs to stop, or else that

Young teen who dropped down and started to cry Could be you
